Users of EBT cards and other shoppers who have little sense became enraged recently when they saw a sign allegedly posted by a WaWa Food Market in Pennsylvania. Have a look and see if you can see why they were so upset.
As it turns out, WaWa actually had nothing to do with the sign. A self professed comedian took the picture of this sign, which he made, and then put it out on social media, giving the appearance of it having been placed by WaWa.
Though most people who saw the picture, which has been shared over 4,000 times, agreed with the sentiments, some people said the sign was ‘callus’ and ‘insensitive.’
What do you think? Are there too many freeloaders in America? Should the shaming be put back into the use of EBT cards? Or is even the thought of doing so callus and insensitive? How dare those of us who work for a living and pay way more than our fair share in taxes expect everyone else to do the same!
